Potatoes: Abundant in amino acids that specifically inhibit viral growth. Potatoes are high in glucose that provides substance to the liver, as it’s precisely what the liver relies on to keep strong. Parsley: Its phytochemicals have anti-troublemaker effects that dislodge poisons and catapult them out of your liver. Parsley has a purging effect on gallbladder sludge, though not on gallstones. Its phytochemical compounds settle at the bottom of the gallbladder, where the sludge lies, to do their good.
2 pounds potatoes, peeled and diced
1 garlic clove, minced
1/4 cup roughly chopped fresh parsley
2 tablespoons finely chopped green onion
1/2 teaspoon mustard powder
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup thinly sliced radish
1/2 cup thinly sliced cucumber
1/2 cup chopped asparagus, steamed or raw
Add 3 inches of water to a medium-sized pot, bring it to a boil, and add a steaming basket. Place the potatoes in the basket, cover, and steam for 5 to 10 minutes, until tender. Remove and place in a bowl.
Add the garlic, parsley, green onion, mustard powder, and lemon juice. Mix well. Add any additions you would like.
Divide between bowls and serve.
• If you don’t like parsley, you can replace it with another herb you do like, such as basil, dill, or cilantro.
